Georgia offers K–12 students and their families several types of school choice, including two private school choice programs, charter schools, magnet schools, home schooling and inter-and intra-district public school choice via open enrollment policies.

Qualified Education Expense Tax Credit

  • Georgia offers tax credits to corporate and individual donors supporting student scholarship organizations (SSOs), nonprofits that provide private school scholarships to students in need.

Georgia Special Needs Scholarship Program

  • The Georgia Special Needs Scholarship Program allows any student with a disability whose parents are unhappy with their assigned public school to receive a voucher to attend private school.
