Alabama shall allow for approved providers to offer students credit for their outside-the-classroom learning.
Who can provide extended learning opportunities programs?
Nonprofits, businesses, trade associations, Armed Forces of the United States, and other community partner organizations may apply to be approved.
Which students are eligible?
All students attending K-12 public and public charter schools can participate.
What type of credit can be obtained?
Elective credits can be awarded.
What information needs to be included in the provider application?
Extended Learning Opportunities was to commence with the 2021-2022 school year, but has yet to be implemented. The State Board of Education can direct you what information is required to submit an application.
What is an example of a Learn Everywhere program in action?
In New Hampshire, the Learn Everywhere program allows Seacoast United to offer student athletes physical education credit through their participation in various team sports.
