ARLINGTON, Va. — yes. every kid. foundation. (Yes Foundation) today announced Matt Frendewey has joined the organization as its vice president of strategy.

Frendewey will lead the foundation’s continued efforts to be best in class at understanding what kids and their families want from education.

“The future of education begins with the belief that every kid has unbelievable gifts and talents, and that their individuality should be celebrated and reflected in a personalized education experience that meets their needs,” said Frendewey. “I’m excited to join yes. every. kid. foundation. as vice president of strategy and work alongside a talented team committed to helping every kid realize their full potential.”

Frendewey is no stranger to yes. every kid. foundation. As former director of communications at Stand Together, he aided in the original launch of Yes Foundation in addition to yes. every kid. and the VELA Education Fund.

“We’re excited to welcome Matt back to the Yes team,” said Yes Foundation Executive Director Andrew Clark. “His extensive strategic experience in education will be an asset to the yes. every kid. foundation. as we continue promoting a bold vision of transforming education in America with a family-first approach.”

Frendewey has more than two decades of experience in strategic communications, which includes working as a senior advisor to the U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos and Gov. Jeb Bush at Foundation for Excellence in Education. A Michigan native, Matt spent eight years working for the Michigan Department of Attorney General and has held various roles in both gubernatorial and presidential campaigns. Matt resides in Washington, D.C.
